The Bali Backyard Ultra weekend takes place at Munggu Beach, a quiet coastal area just north of Canggu. The race hub is set next to the black-sand shoreline, creating a scenic and relaxed atmosphere for runners, supporters, and families.

How to Get There

From Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS): Approximately 60–70 minutes by car depending on traffic.

From Canggu: 10–15 minutes by scooter or car.

From Seminyak / Kuta: 30–45 minutes.

If you're using a taxi or online app (Grab, Gojek, Bluebird), search for "Pantai Munggu".

Parking

Dedicated car and scooter parking zones are available near the event hub. Parking attendants will guide you to the correct area throughout the event weekend.

Event Hub

All main facilities — bib collection, briefings, support areas, food stalls, toilets, and finish zone — are located within walking distance of the beach. Volunteers and signage will help guide you around the venue.

Accommodation

Plenty of accommodation options are available within 5–10 minutes of the venue:

  • Guesthouses and bungalows in Munggu and Pererenan
  • Hotels and villas in Canggu
  • Beachfront stays close to the event area

We recommend booking early, especially for groups or runners staying the entire weekend.

  • Early mornings at Munggu Beach are calm and great for warm-ups.
  • The area gets busy on weekends — plan extra time for arrival.
  • Sunset is spectacular — perfect for photos after your run.
